MSD digital window switch wiring/install

I have an MSD digital window switch to install on my 1995 Lt1. It will be installed with the NX GM EFI wet nitrous kit, therefore 2 soleniods. Anyways, I am looking for instructions or tutorials on how to install this device with my wet kit since I really have no clue when it comes to stuff like this, lol.

Thanks guys.

Re: MSD digital window switch wiring/install

Anyone???

And, with regards to my system.........the actual switch in the car is wired so that it grounds the system out. The switch is not actually the power.

MSD's website has instructions for all their products on there in pdf. Check out & http://www.msdignition.com/ Click on "support' & then go to instruction download. You should find everything youre looking for there.

Re: MSD digital window switch wiring/install

actually nothing is listed on this product.

anyways here is what came in the box:
RED This is the on/off wire. Connects to switched 12 volts
BLACK Connects to a good ground
WHITE Signal input. Provides the trigger signal from a tach input, +5 - 12 volt signal from an ignition tach terminal, ECU output or coil negative terminal

Output Wires
GREY Normally closed. This wire will remove the ground source at your desired on RPM, and complete the ground at the set off RPM
YELLOW Normally open. This wire will provide a ground source at your desired on RPM, and remove the ground at the set off rpm.

So, where do I get the tach signal from??

once I get that figured out, the biggest problem for me is what to do with the output wires.........do I use both or just one?? And, where the hell do I put them. I have an nx wet kit (2 solenoids). The switch in the console switches the ground on for the system.......this wire runs to the relay provided with the NX kit.

please help!!!

Re: MSD digital window switch wiring/install

I found this on the Nx Nitrous Express web site.

http://www.nitrousexpress.com/Instru...ndowswitch.pdf

Its a wiring diagram for a window switch which uses plug in rpm pills but the wiring of the yellow wire from the window switch is the same as an MSD 8969 windoW switch.

I am just about to wire up my MSD 8969 window switch but I have an MSD6AL so I will take the tach signal from the green wire on the back of there.

I have a download of the MSD 8969 wiring instructions ( I can email to you if you want) but it is exactly the same as the diagram that came in the box. According to that you have to take the tach signal from the negative side of the coil if you don't have an MSD6AL.

I hope this is of some help to you do a search in the N20 section on rpm window switch there is lots of info there.
