MSD cap and rotor

I was wondering how hard it is to change the cap and rotor on a 95 z28,And if the MSD would help give me a better spark than stock.

It's just a little more difficult than changing out the complete opti. You may need to go buy some small female torx socket to get the old one apart.
I don't think it is worth the trouble, especially when you can by an assembled complete new opti for $50 more.
By the title it looks like you want the MSD. Have you ever seen one up close in person or know anyone who has?
I'm guessing they have their own big time problems. I ordered one from Summit last November, it was due in Dec 2004. I received at least 6 delays and the last one said it would ship in August 2005. Summit called last week and told me that they recommend I cancel the order. They said that they had received so much bad delivery information from MSD, that they no longer could promise anything.
This could be an indication that MSD is having Quality issues with these parts. I know they have spent a ton of money advertising in magazines, and if they had good parts they would deliver them. Obviously they had good reason to believe these parts would be ready, but 9 months late with first part?

I can get one right nowat JEGS right down the street from me.I put on the MSD 8mm wires with AC Delco platium plugs and I was wondering if the MSD would give me a hotter spark or not. What is everyone else doing to get a better spark to their LT1s.

Can you verify that Jeg's actually HAS one in stock?
I am under the impression that MSD has not shipped any out yet [to anyone]...

Hate to say it, but that doesn't mean squat.

Re: MSD cap and rotor

Go to their website/online catalog. Put in the part #. You will get a message telling you if it is in stock, or if it is on backorder and when it is expected to ship. They have been pushing the date further into the future for the 6 months they've had the part shown in the catalog.
