MSD 6al install
MSD 6al install
Got the msd 6al new in the box from ebay and bought the lt1 connector from thunderracing.com, i wanted to see some in detail pictures of how some of you guys mounted yours, and length of time to do install if you guys could, and also any opinions on how the car run afterwords would be cool, i did do a search for this but came up with very little. thanks Ty
You need the blaster coil for it. Don't forget it. The overall box is easy to hookup. Limited room under the hood. Everyone usually puts it next to the Fuse box. THe hardest part of the MSD install is the MSD Blaster coil. You'll have to modify the stock coil brackets a bit to adapt it to fit the MSD coil. THat' the hardest part. Don't know if they fixed that issue or not. I think I had one of the early LT-1 kits or something.

It can work with the stock coil but your suppossed to use the MSD Blaster coil with it. It's the complete system to get the best performance out the little box. The coils only like 39 bucks or so and a good investment. Having the just box without the coil is like driving a car with no steering wheel. It defeats the purpose of having it in the first place.
