Motor won't start.

My TA died on me the other day, and I cannot figure out why. It cranks, but it won't start. It's got fuel and spark.

This sucks.

Try holding the gas peddle all the way to the floor when cranking; be sure to let of the gas quickly if it starts!

How did you determine you have good spark? My firend's 96 had a similar problem and we held a spark plug wire up to the block and concluded we had spark. Turns out the spark was weak due to a fauly coil (tested the spark with a spark gap tester). Repaced the coil and problem solved!

yeah, I did the plug wire to the block thing.

I'll look at the coil tomorrow. Thanks man.

The spark gap tester was pretty cheap...like $10. If you've got a friend in the area that has a F-Body with the same style coil, a quick swap can confirm the issue. I'd confirm before I bought a new coil as I doubt you can return it if it's not the problem.
