It maybe more work but i doubt it will be cheaper. There were several guys that said they did the swap for next to nothing or made a little cash. You can pick up a wrecked LS1 for a few grand. Then by the time you sell your old LT1 stuff and part out the rest of the LS1 car you don't need its possible to do it for very little.
