motor pulling?

motor pulling?

what all will i need to take off to pull lt1 from top and can i pull the motor and trans

im not positive but i think it only comes out the bottom or thats the easiest way

you can pull the motor and trans out the top pretty easy. i think its better than from the bottom. bout a 4 hour job. they can come out together or apart. apart will make it easier. me and a buddy of mine took an ls1 with tranny out the top with no air tools in his front yard. put it back in and cranked it too so it can be done. be sure to take the radiator and condensor out. take as many parts off the pulley system as you can. its all just common sense really.

What trans? I have seen pictures on here of someone do it with an M6. Mine was pretty snug coming out the top with no trans and no acces. on the front (except the balancer). If its an auto trans., I can't really see it coming out attached.

I guess it depends on the angle you can get at it uh? I just couldn't picture there being enough room from front to back. Thanks for the info Blaze. I wish yoou would have replyed when I posted about this 3 months ago.
