What happened to the original motor mounts?

I never had to replace the motor mounts, even after 27 years, most of those years with an 800 HP/800 lb-ft build sitting on them. Only replaced the trans mount with poly, and that lasted for all those years under three different trans setups (T56, TH400, TH400+GV O/D). I'll have to ask the new owner if he has replace the motor mounts since he bought it.

Hint: If you turn your "caps lock" off, the system won't automatically reformat your text into lower case with a cap starting each word.

 

I used Energy Suspension black ones. Way easier to replace with engine out of car.
