Motive Gears from National Drivetrain
I just purchased a Motive ring and pinion (3:73) for my Moser 12 Bolt. Some questions:
1. Are motive gears quiter in a Moser 12 Bolt compared to US Gear, Richmond or Precision?
2. Is National Drivetrain a well known and customer-oriented company?
3. What is the recommended backleash for these gears? Some mechanics advised me to have the backlash set from .007 to .009. What say you gear experts?
Note: I called Moser and although they do not advertise Motive gears, they do sell them and will install the Motive gears in their units if you ask them too.
