Hey guys I was just wondering what the most power put down for the hotcam was? Your numbers, or numbers you heard of? Anything would be appreciated! Thanks!!!

There are many over 350hp. A search should find this information easily enough.

Mine made 333/390 (383 cid) with about 3 fuel leaks, a miss up top and 16:1 A/f.

I spoke to a guy who said it went over 400 BUT and this is a big BUT he was somewhat familiar with Stock Eliminator tactics and used some of them. For those not familiar "stock eliminator" is as cast heads and intakes, stock lifts(unlimited duration) and they put down like 450 running into the 10s easily in very detail oriented racecars.
A class for guys with deep pockets, who enjoy a challenge and have some brains.

Are you in need of a tune ? Those are stock numbers, I'd expect around 340 rwhp with the hotcam.

I saw one with 405rwhp, AFR 195's, LT4 intake. It was 4-5 yrs back tho. Not too many people run that cam now days.

I am pretty sure he was a cali guy and had to run the cam for emissions. The heads had lots of time into them tho.

Mine did the numbers in my sig, with a slight miss up top. With just bolt ons, people see anywhere from 320-350whp, around 330whp being the average. With a set of heads you can get around 400.

I put down 350whp/360wtq on two different dynos with my old hotcam set up.
At the time it was a stock shortblock with my old heads and shorty headers. If you still insist it can't be done Ican probably find my dyno sheets.

I did 345 rwhp & 346 rwtq with a totally stock engine (stock; air filter, maf, injectors and TB) and 1 3/4" long rubes. I really loved that combo. It was cheap and lasted over 20,000 trouble free miles. I am talking off the limiter at 6,500 rpm too many times to count, and a bunch of nitrous pulls, miles. I will give it's reliability an A .
