Smile most bang for you buck

I've got a mostly bone stock 94 camaro except it is chiped out they have 275hp stock and I'm hoping to get over 350hp with only puting between 2000 and 3000 dollars into the car now the question is what mods will give me the most horse power for the money?
P.S. I don't want forsed induction or N2O
Thanks

Well, they hypertech is crap, so get un-program that, and sell it.

As for other mods to get you there...

Camshaft (Mild, like a 305 or similar), 1.6 rockers, valvesprings, long-tube headers, cat-back exhaust, CAI should put you about 350hp at the flywheel.

Re: most bang for you buck

every bolton possible... Full exhaust, intake, underdrive pullies, gears (Not really a power adder though), and that should just about net you 350 crank horsepower. Give or take... maybe 330-350...

I personally would go...

GM847 Cam and supporting valvetrain
Pacesetter LTs
Pacesetter Y
SLP II LM Catback (catback is personal preference)
Any kind of intake system.

That right there will put you close to 400 crank horsepower and about 350-365rwhp I think...? Anyone wants to correct me here but i'm pretty sure you should be in that area.

You can do all that for right around 3k... 2k for valvetrain setup and install, 1k for exhaust. If you have someone else do it, maybe $3500 all together.

Re: most bang for you buck

you dont have to get horsepower to get the car moving faster... is your car an auto? if so then a stall and gears will be the best inline for you.

if your car is a manual then i would say headers with all other bolt ons and then some suspension. no point in having all that power if you cant put it where it matters.

lol wow 3 posts at one time... how funny

haha yea how about that.

I agree with this post, but he didn't ask that question. But good point nonetheless. Stall and gears would definitely get your A4 moving... damn A4s are nasty. haha

I personally went with as much power as possible without touching my suspension.

Very stupid, yes... but it sure is fun.

custom cam, all bolt ons, tune

/done

spend your money wisely. You get brand new long tubes on this board for $300-400. You can build a true dual x-pipe exhaust for around $300 using the summit universal kit, compared to corsa, gmmg and borla being in the retarded $700+ range.

Hooker long tubes, gutted cats, hacked up catback (magnaflow), diy cold air intake, CC305, 1.6RR my dyno was like 300hp and 330 torque.

365rwhp would put you WAY more than 400 at the crank. More like 445 and thats being very conservative with only 18% drivetrain loss for the A4. Some think it's even as high as 22% or so which would be 467hp at the flywheel for 365rwhp...

If you change your mind on the juice, you should check out the article in the latest GM High Tech with the Black LT1 Formula. They pretty much wanted to get the cheapest HP available out of it. Pretty much the same as what you are asking.

I read that article, that guy is pulling 11 flats with a very minimum amount of money invested. He basically threw in a couple of bolt-ons, a homemade nitrous kit, a Turbo 350 trans, and some used slicks!
