Exclamation Moroso Cold air intake sucked water...help

Well, I got caught out driving when Ernesto hit Va and my camaro got caught in water. I hit a kinda deep puddle, my camaro sucked the water in and the car turned off. I pulled to the side and started it up and got lucky and was able to drive home. Here is the messed up part, I tried to start it up again and then it was misfiring so I did a major tune up, new spark plugs, new spark plug wires and even changed the optispark. I tried to crank it up again and it just cranks and cranks and won't fire up, it will hesitate after a while then almost starts then dies. My first LT1 Camaro and I'm kinda lost with this one.

What did the plugs look like when you pulled them?

When this happened, did the engine at the least crank and crank or was it locked up dead solid?

When you pulled the plugs, did you crank the engine over and see any water come shooting out the plug holes?

Kind of sounds like wet worn out wires to me.

it would just keep on cranking, but won't fire up. The spark plug wires are new, spark plugs are new also and I just installed a new optispark.

That's happened to me several times, I don't know what to tell you since you replaced everything that i can think of. The last time it happened I didn't replace a thing and after about a week it was back to normal

it's also possible your opti decided to call it quits. how deep was the "puddle"?

when my opti has gotten wet in the past, it would sometimes take a couple of days for it to run correctly (dry out completely). i remember sitting at the car wash for a couple of hours one time after trying to pressure wash my engine.....and yes i was trying to keep the opti dry. did you install the opti after you hit the water? maybe theres water still inside your opti.

Guy has already changed the opti. I was thinking you have some moisture in your cylinders.
