Moroso CAI Question

Hey Guys,

I bought a moroso 65845 cai for my 94 z28. When I went to install it, the black plastic air duct would not fit. It seems to be too long. It looks like it would fit fine if i didn't have a mass air flow sensor.

Could somebody tell me how long the black plastic air duct( it runs from the mass air flow to the block off plate) is?

Has anybody else experienced this problem?

Re: Moroso CAI Question

Sounds like you got one for a '93...They don't have a Mass Airflow Sensor.

Re: Moroso CAI Question

I had the same problem, the CAI would not fit with my Vortech elbow. So I cut a few inches off the CAI and it fits, no problems. Just make sure you don't cut it too short.

Thanks for the replies, i just wanted to mention that i have the stock intake elbow on my car. Should i have to cut it to make it work with a stock elbow?

Re: Moroso CAI Question

If you have the correct Moroso kit (94-97 LT1), and you install it correctly, it should fit with no modifications to the existing inlet elbow or to the Moroso parts.
