Arrow moroso cai

i had my moroso cai for about 2 years now and i havnt maintainced it yet. Ive driven the car about 35,000 miles since i installed it. So i'm wondering it's due for a cleaning or should i just purchase a new filter? I read somewhere that its good for 50,000 before cleanings but that sounds like alot of miles without cleaning the filter.

Also is there filter cleaner for the moroso air filters?

K&N recommends that the filter be serviced at up to 50K mile intervals. Tests have shown that a light coating of dust improves the filtering efficiency, without significantly increasing pressure loss. K&N also indicates that the life of the filter is cleaning and oiling "up to 25 times". They will not last forever.

K&N Tech Info

The subject is worth a search. There are some independant studies on the web that indicate that the gauze filters may not be the best solution for all applications.
