Moroso 20185
Moroso 20185
Has anyone ever used the Moroso 20185 oil pan made specifically for lt1's? I am thinking of purchasing this pan for my 383. There are several members on this site that indicate that it is okay to use the stock pan on a stroker. I am not ruling the stock pan out but if it does not work to my liking then I would like to have another option and the moroso seems like a good one. I also noticed that this particular pan calls for Moroso's oil pump and pickup, which is 5/8ths instead of 3/4ths. Will this be an issue? How many of you are using the 5/8ths oil pump and pickup?

Also, you don't use the OEM windage tray with this pan (it has one built-in).

Possibly not, it depends on your engine build along with the tolerances.
However, you "do" need a pick-up that is positioned in the correct location in the custom pan to play with the pan baffles and partitions. Along with the relationship of the pick-up and pan botton (correct depth), which is very critical.
