how can you tell if a lifter is ticking...

I use a mechanic's stethoscope on the rocker stud as I loosen/tighten the polylock. It's easy to hear when they start ticking.

oh ok, i always thought that was the rocker arm...

just wanted to know if we are on the same page... :-)

thought i might be missing something...
