What's your budget, and how much HP do you want to make. You can make 1,000+ HP if you want it, and have the budget. Is it a daily driver, 1/4-mile car, auto-X...... ???? Do you have any emissions limitations (e.g. -CA)?

Mal, a good way to think is that the car is a living thing. You need to let it breath. Put on a good set of headers/exhaust for starts, that will go very well with a CAI. From there, the sky's the limit depending on what you want to do with your car. Also, a good tune up on a LT1 will work wonders too. *Opti, plugs, wires, fuel filter, exc* BTW welcome to the forum! Any specific questions, use the search, you will come up with a wealth of information!!!

Catback gives a good amount and can sound good (though the stock exhaust has a nice sound to it too). Your valve springs may be a bit tired so those may need to be replaced before you go with 1.6 roller rockers.
