Injectors only make power if you are running out of fuel.
Injectors != HP

Whats your duty cycle at?

A big cam and stock heads will max out a set of stock injectors. I was pretty much maxed with my cc306.

If your 24lb is enough for your setup then 58mm TB will give you more power.

TB will give you more. The gain is not worth the price for either IMO. Injectors wouldn't be a bad idea just for the sake of lowering the duty cycle.

I am pretty sure it was Chuck Riddeck (one of the smartest guys who ever sat foot on the internet) said that a car trapping less than 125mph would see little or no gain from a throttle body.

My blown and nitroused car has a stock throttle body because I believe him. In fact, I had a bigger one but sold it to buy some useful parts. Injectors will only help if you need them.

You have the LE1 heads, and a similar cam, and Lloyd himself recommends 30# injectors with that setup. It's a lot more likely you are pushing the injectors toward the limit.

If your engine doesn't need anything larger than a 24# injector, its unlikely it needs a 58mm TB.

Since an average 3600# F-body needs 550 horsepower to go 125 mph in the quarter, I would be willing to bet a car with that much power would see a nice gain (~15-18 horse) going from a stock 48mm TB to a 58mm. Maybe someone has some dyno sheets to confirm (or shoot down!) this theory?

I lost 2rwhp on my cam only setup when i switched to the holley 58mm tb. I noticed no other diveability issues when running the bigger tb with the ported Intake opening.

Good question. Hardcore tech guys on this board have convinced me that there is no appreciable gain at that level, but it's amazing how little empirical data is available on so many issues in the hotrod world. I have not seen any scientific data that would show one way or the other. I'd be interested to see any empirical research on this issue if it exists.
