i'll be recieving a intake manifold here shortly that i'm gonna open up for a 58mm TB and was curious if i would run into any problems if i just went ahead and took out the center section all together, so the opening is like that needed for a monoblade TB but using a 58mm Holley?
just run a straight edge across the top and bottom openings of the 58mm gasket marks and cut straight across then smoothed it out!
i think it'd be ok, just want a lil assurance
its all about weight reduction

 

can't imagine it would hurt anything...it there anything along the back of the TB that "needs" to be covered? and make sure to cut the gasket too...so it doesn't break apart and go into the engine
