Also I saw that the FIPK has that plate to block off the heat from the motor to make the filter stay away from the motor. What could I do to fab something up like that?

I personally would get rid of the G2 and do a different intake all together, an SLP if you like underhood bling, or a K&N or Moroso if you don't really care. However, my first mod on an automatic would definitely be a torque converter... go with one around a 2800-3200 RPM stall speed. After that go straight to exhaust, longtubes and catback if you really want power.

try www.thunderracing.com

you can get it pretty much anywhere that sells LT1 parts, but thunder has been very good to me and their customer service is excellent.

that ebay link is a "stack on" under drive pulley, they show minimal gains, dont bet on 10-15hp, a dyno test showed 0.7rwhp gain with a stack on UD pulley.

when i decided to buy an underdrive pulley, i looked around and the general concensus is that the ASP underdrive pulley is the best, it is not a stack on it replaces the stock pulley, the ASP pulley has 25% under drive. it is a little more expensive though, i picked mine up for $150 plus a $10 belt.

This is a great list to follow, dont wast cash on things like pullies at the bottom of the list. Get SFC's or something.

Good call. I forgot he is an Auto. If he's running 2.73's in the rear, then he would probably want to move the gears up on the list too.

I'm trying to do the cheaper mods right now...
I still owe a TON of money for this car and all the money I loaned for the vette restoration.

Mods like plugs and wires arent really mods imo

just a simple tune up..

CAI + Catback were the first 2 things i did to my car..
Then headers

and then straight to heads/cam with some other small bolt on stuff here and there

the cheap mods usually net lower hp (pullies, T-stat, Plugs. Wires. Coil) They are cheap for a reason

HYP-1008 in summit. Just got mine and put it in yesterday. You should have your fans set to turn on at a lower temp if your gonna do that though.
