Modifying an aftermarket head to fit LT1's

Does anyone know where I can get some info on what is involved in modifying say a Dart or Brodix head to fit an LT1? Any links or sights would really be appreciated. Thanks

Any good machine shop could do it. But I have to ask why? What do you have in mind? Drilling some holes and (I think) plugging some others to get the water passages to line up seems like the main issue. New intake will be needed as well. Not sure what else is needed. If you get a set of LT1 and gen I gaskets and line them up, you can see what the differences are. I have a set of LT1 gaskets, but no gen I or I'd look myself.

If I wanted a gen I head, I'd say to go all the way and just swap in a gen I motor. And the only reason I'd do that is for a race car, which I don't think I would try to make out of a 4th gen.

That's just my bias though, so I am curious about what you are building.

Well heres the motor so far.
vette LT1 block .30 over studded mains clearanced for stroker
Cola Forged stroker crank 3.75 stroke
Carilla h beam 6.0 inch rods
Wiseco forged dished pistons
847 cam with 1.6 rollers
LT4 extreme chain
I have a set of LT4 heads with 2.02 Intakes and 1.56 exhaust severe duty valves in them. They have been ported and polished already. I do not have the flow numbers as of now for them. I also have a vortech supercharger and planning to run 12 lbs. I have 2 fuel pumps on the car and also have some 42lbs injectors.
Also have a 58mm TB
Rear has been upgraded to a 12 bolt as well as all the suspension has been upgraded. Mostly to BMR. I was just asking about the heads as I wanted to see if I can get more performance out of a Brodix head then the LT4 head. The motor is in the shop and the shortblock is done. I just nee to decide on the heads. I have many other mods including the Jet hot LT's coming

Getting AFR's is easier said then done. They are on a National back order. Could be 4 months before any are released
