Need some T56 related help

Ok, I just finished swapping in a T56 in my camaro, and I have a problem. When I push the clutch pedal down to the floor, the slave cylinder only pushes the clutch about 1/2". So my clutch won't disengage. I tried bleeding it by removing the resovior cap and that rubber thing, and removed the slave cylinder and pumped it a bunch of times. This is all brand new, the tranny, clutch, cylinders, everyhting, never used. The cylinders came to me with fluid already in the system, got them brand new from a GM dealer. The clutch is a SPEC Star stage 3.
I was trying to get the car finished today, it hasn't been driven in two years, and now this wonderful problem showed up.

Any help is much appreicated!!!!

How do you know the slave cylinder is not stroking the pressure plate enough? If there's no air in your lines, it could be a bad pressure plate (bent drivestraps or just bad lift) or the disc could be too thick, or it could be a problem with the installation of the clutch fork. Is it grinding when you try to shift? More info please.

I can tell it's not enough because I removed the spacer from under the slave cylinder and put the slave cylinder back on. When I pushed the clutch (had someone helping obviously) the cylinder only moved out a half inch or so. It hardly moved the fork. If you start the car, you can't get it into gear. If you put the car on stands so the tires don't touch the ground and run the motor, witht he clutch down the wheels will spin. You can definatly tell the clutch isn't disengaging. Their is very little pressure needed to push the pedal down.

But what about the fork? Is thier a special way it goes on?

Well I'm not sure what your problem could be then. It sounds like you might have a bad pressure plate. There's no special way the fork goes on, it just slips over that block and clicks onto the bearing. Hopefully someone will chime in here. Sorry I couldn't help more. TTT for ya

Maybe check that your actuator cable (i think thats what its called) isnt binding, or bent, or screwed up in any way. I saw a solid actuator rod awhile back in summit. Good luck in whatever it may be...
