Question What Will I Run and What Should My Next Mod Be

Whats goin on everybody. I haven't really got an opportunity to make it back out to the track since I got my exhaust mods done and was curious to hear from you experienced LT1 modders on what you think my car should be running with the mods i have in my sig. Also, after my tune and cutout, what suggestions does everyone have on mods to do this spring when i get some cash. My ideal goal is to have a good street car, it is my daily driver so i want to maintain gas mileage as much as possible and keep highway performance up, but definately wouldn't mind some better times and more power. Probably hope to eventually hit low 13's to high 12's when completed. All input is welcome and appreciated. Thanks

p.s. Any suggestions for someone with limited tools on blocking off the egr holes on my intake without having to pay the $24 dollars for block off plates?

Also, thought i'd say i'm selling my 17x9 Eagle 077 polished wheels in the parts for sale section as well as my dual 12" Kenwood subs and 760w 2-channel amp, and finally i'm looking for a pair of o2 sensor extensions (flat connector) for under $30, if ya know of any let me know, thanks

Re: Mod Reviews and Suggestions

To block off the EGR on my intake i took the tube that goes from the exhaust manifold to the intake and cut the tube and removed it from the flange that bolts to the intake. It looks like (o O o) i then welded up the center hole and put some silcone on it and bolted it back up. I then took the valve and broke/cut the valve off the flange that bolts to the intake. By flange/mounting base i mean the big hunk of cast iron that actually bolts to the intake. I then took a thin piece of house flashing i got from the hardware store and cut a gasket out the same shape as the mounting flange. i then bolted the mounting base back onto the intake sandwiching the flashing in between it and the intake. The flashing will block the holes in the mounting base.I also used silcone to seal this. Its been several yrs since i did this and its still holding well.

I don't know why you want to block off the EGR but a simple way is to take an soda can and cut it into the shape of the EGR plate at the intake and cut holes for the bolts but leave the center alone (similar to the pic above just no hole in the middle) Then get an extra EGR gasket and place the plate between the tube and the intake and the EGR is blocked, I use this method for trouble shooting faulty EGR valves.

My pacesetter longtubes are the ones without emissions is the reason i'm gonna block off the egr. I think i'll go ahead and do the pop can thing this week, thanks for the advice.
