Before I started changing the opti, I'd check the wires. Since the plugs were just changed, there's a possibility a couple of the wires could be swapped and firing at the wrong time. Also, a wire could be burned or not all the way on the plug or opti. You could also wait until it's good and dark and see if you see any sparks flying around the plugs/wires or coil.

Have you scanned it for codes?

If you have a faulty injector or power wire to the injector, you will get DTC 18. You can verify power to the injectors by measuring the voltage between the pink wire in each connector and ground. Should be 12V. With the harness connectors off, measure the injector resistance across the two pins. Should be 12-15 ohms. To verify the PCM is providing the ground that fires the injector, you need to install a 'noid light, and watch it flash as the injector fires.

Was it misfiring BEFORE the plugs were done, or only after?

The plug wires will give you a light show in the dark if they are arcing - as noted in the post above. You have to visually check to insure you have the right wire running from the right terminal on the Opti to the right plug.

Electrical tape can not insulate 30,000 Volts.

injectors bad?

I have somewhat of same issue and was wondering about testing injectors as well. I did the test that for resistance and also checked out voltages at wiring harness and both seemed ok. Is there any way to test the injector itself other than for resistance? Or is it something that you must send off to a shop to do.
