in the middle of 6spd swap and noticed something

me and a friend are doing the 6spd swap on my 1994 trans am and when we were putting in the clutch hydraulics we noticed on the firewall that were it is supposed to go through that mine has a weird bend in it and the piston cannot sit flush w/ the firewall. my question is since my car is a 94 and since it was purchased in Canada would that make sense as to why my firewall is different being how my friends 98 trans am is nice and flush. so if that's how mine is supposed to be is there a special clutch hydraulic system that i need?? oh and btw it is a factory bend in the firewall not one caused by a wreck incase anyone was wondering. well please respond a.s.a.p. i would greatly appreciate that.
