Mezziere electric water pump
Mezziere electric water pump
how hard is it to install one of these things ?? and do they come with wiring instructions ??? My water pump is leaking out the weephole , its not doing it bad , but I give it like a month before Im gonna have to do something with it. Also what do you do with the belt and pulley ???
the water pump doesn't run off of the belt there is a shaft coming out of the motors that runs the impeller.
As far as wiring you can buy a wiring kit with your new pump like $30 or there are a couple of sites eith what you ned to wire the pump
Also i went with the csi - with the meziere i think you you have to grind some of the fan shroud with the csi you don't and the csi is cheaper. i got it from summit
hope this helps

Sup Jus...I debated over this a long time a month ago when I rebuilt my motor. I found the cons outweighed the pros. At least with the reg waterpump when it goes you still can drive it home and stuff. The electric one goes you usually wont know it until its too late. Then you might have to grind stuff, hook up wiring. Do a search on the subject. I looked over this for some time before just going with the ol fashion pump.
I have the Meziere pump. Modding the fan housing is not hard to do. DO NOT use the supplied inline fuse for the pump. Mine was not making good contact, and I swapped it for a crimp on fuseholder that uses blade type fuses. The original fuseholder going out caused a blown headgasket last year. Use a good holder and you'll be ok.

I plan on installing a Powerlight. That will stay activie when it's running. If it doesn't come on then we know why.

can anyone tell me how to do this or give me some direction
The wiring under the hood is similar to what the other diagrams posted earlier use.
I made sure to use the round plastic tubing similar to what the car makers use for all the wiring. That helps protect it from damage, since the water pump is a critical part of the engine.
