Question mccleoud twin clutch info needed

couple questions.

1. HP capabilities?
2. Pro's / Con's verus single clutch drag set ups?
3. Cost?
4. Contact info? I can't find a website or phone # for McCleoud?

Any help appreciated.

Thanks,

Mike

Mine held up fine in a 4,100lb car with >700rwhp. It's by far the best "bolt-in" LT1 clutch. By far. It's also expensive (~$1K with aluminum flywheel, ~$200 less with a steel flywheel. If you are running more hp than this clutch will handle, you will break your transmission and should be running a Turbo 400 anyway.

I'll go with Rich on that. It's the only choice for a high hp car imho. I had one in my formula making 640. Dropped the hammer at 5500 and wiped out a bmr t/a and a denny's driveshaft but the clutch never slipped. Just put one in my dad's car which has a 396 with a 250 shot. That clutch rocks.

Got mine at racenet.net for $904. It is a nice setup. It has some unique quirks in its installation. Once you start putting it in start posting for help. I found about 6 things that everyone runs into.

1. Getting the pilot bushing out
2. Getting the bellhousing aligned
3. Getting the inputshaft all the way in.
4. Adjusting the release fork
5. Bleeding the slave cyl
6. Installing the slave cyl.

Each has a trick.
