matching jet hot long tubes to y pipe...
Hey, I know I may be beating a dead horse here, but I couldn't get rock solid info from other threads. I just got my Jet Hot LT's in the mail and as I understand they are identical to the hooker lt's. I have yet to purchase my new y-pipe and cat back combo, but I need to know which y pipe fits either EXACTLY to the jet hots or gets REALLY close. I heard the mufflex one sucks and I should just get the hooker y-pipe, but I want more opinions first. I know I will probably get the hooker cat back and use the stock tips, but the stainless ones instead of the plastic.
Oh yeah, I have a 97 with no cats.

I got the mufflex ypipe and was pleased with the quality and the fit. The welds were good and the collector design was better than others that I saw. The fit needed a little coaxing on the driver side (dremel to grind a little of the crossbrace), but that was the headers fault not the y.
My hooker y-pipe fit with a little massaging... I had to grind down my trans crosssmember and it sits really close on the driver side.. passenger side was no problem.. when I get a chance I am going to make some more room with a BFH. The only thing that kind of sucks is the crushed part right after the collector on the driver side doesn't seem optimal for flow. oh well.
If only someone would make an oval Y-pipe for our cars.
I have the Hooker Y-Pipe also and, mine is still banging on the driver side transbrace. I am installing Poly motor mounts this weekend so I will let you know it that give me a bit more clearance.
Be Carefull of the lost ground clearance!!!
I banged the flanged and developed a leak. It was a PITA to fix, and I had to use 2 flange gaskets and a ton of rtv, but it seemes ok now.
