mass air question (did a search)

Is the impala mass air meter the same as camaro. I just bought a meter off ebay to replace the ported one one my car and it's smaller in diameter. The auction stated it came off a 96 Lt1 engine and my ar is a 96 but iit doesn't fit. I am trying to find out what it does fit.

Re: mass air question (did a search)

I believe the impala lt1 / l99 or whatever they call the 4.3 v8 had a smaller 3.0 or 3.25 MAF, i went down the same road with a forum member that had bought some of e-bay and i was buying from him. At last minute he e-mail and said they were 3 1/4 or 3 inch not the 3 1/2 of the Fbody

Yeah, B-body MAFs are smaller in diameter. You need one from an F-body.
