Mass Air flow sensor..

Mass Air flow sensor..

i live in california and you know how cali is strict on the smog test...
ok on my mass air flow sensor i took of the screen.. do you guys think ill pass smog?

Don't bother doing it. It doesn't add any meaningful or long term power IF it adds any atall and has sometimes caused a slight decline in idle smoothness.

In theory it could add a slight bit of short term power by leaning out the AFR at WOT BUT the O2s will see the constant slight lean condition at cruise and add the fuel back in and "learn out" that slight gain you might have seen.

The WOT AFR can be improved with pcm reprogramming which offers a lot more potential.

not only that i don't think it would affect smog, and like everyone else has said keep the screen there

yeah i accidentally broke it thats why i just took it off, i didnt do it by choice

It can be replaced. In the 94, it's held in with a giant c-clip.
