Marking harminc balancer hub

I'm in the process of pulling my opti. How do I mark the harmonic balancer hub to the crank? Or do I even need to mark it before I pull it off?

Thanks:

Z

You don't have to pull the hub off the crank to change the Opti. All you need to do is remove the damper/pulley from the hub. When you remove it, there are three bolts holding the damper on the hub. The bolts are not evenly spaced, so the damper will only go back on the hub in one position.

The damper will likely be severely rusted to the hub. Use a lot of good penetrating oil to start. If that fails, look at Shoebox's Tech Pages for the correct way to pull the damper with a 3-jaw puller.
