Mark in the crank?

As I was pulling the crank hub off, the crank move just a little from TDC.
I see a slit on the crank, does that indicate anything? If not, I'm going to be in that much trouble when adjusting the valves if I'm off TDC a little?

Also if you ask yourself why I dont use the crank hub arrow when I reinstall it, is because it was off when I sent the #1 piston to TDC on the compression stroke.

Do you mean the keyway for the key the factory hub does not use?

No, not that part. The part that the hub comes off of.

I think the point of the pic is to show you where the crank keyway should be when #1 or #6 is TDC..
If you 'have the hub off', can't you see the keyway slot?
If it's at 130 o clock it's #1 or #6 is at TDC..

Yeah, I know it was not that part. It was just used for a point of reference.
