Map sensor wire

Hey guys when I was driving my camaro to work in the morning it was great, when I went to get my daughter's school still great, after I got her and we headed home my engine light came on @ wot, didn't show any signs of no problem etc.

When I pulled the car in the garage I look around the engine and the wires to make sure the sensors were connected good. And the map sensor one the connector is broken I pushed it more up with my fingers,I could tell if it was all the way in or not. And the engine light turned off n the fans too. (I know the fans come in certain ses light scenarios).

I took the car again, I did a wot and no engine light came on. So I just wanted to know if the map sensor was the issue hopefully. I ordered a new map sensor connector from rockauto, just so I can have a great connection with the map sensor.

Re: Map sensor wire

if you are talking about the green connector that plug into MAP the clip can break so the plug can get lose or come out. You can buy just the plug body and use a tool to get the pins out of the old one. What I did

..or splice in a new pigtail one if that's what you got on RA

Re: Map sensor wire

Maybe you’ll get lucky with that bad connector, but the first thing to do when the engine light comes on is always to scan it for codes.
