Map Sensor, calculated load, TPS at wot

Ok at 100% tps, up hill in 3rd and 4th gear the calculated load reads 87.4%, my map is reading 3x in/hg at wot and the car isnt going into open loop.

Map problem?

what could cause this?

What was the barometric pressure? Standard barometric pressure at sea level is about 30"Hg. At WOT, with an efficient air intake system, MAP approaches barometric pressure.

When you go WOT, the PCM does not change the "closed loop" flag. That's because the flag indicates that all the conditions for closed loop have been met. In GM's terminology, when you exceed certain combinations of throttle position and RPM, the PCM goes into "power enrichment" (PE) mode, not open loop. Yes, the O2 sensors are not used in a feedback loop, but they are still "ready".

So far, unless 3x means something like 35"Hg, I don't see any problem.

Yea i think it was 32"hg, the thing is my car seems like its loosing some power up top.

It pulls like a rapped ape and it seems to drop off at about 3k, still pulls hard but seems to fall off just a little

What about calculated load? what should that be at at 5500 rpm WOT

and the at idle it reads
calculated load- 3.1
Maf- 1.xxx pounds per min
tps- 0%
map - 9.1"hg

Your idle numbers look fine, assuming that MAF flow is about 1.0 - 1.5 #/min (7.5 - 11.3 grams/sec). I don't know what algorithm they use for "calculated load". Most logs that people send me to review do not have that data shown.

My guess is that calculated load would be the average between the maf and map readings.
