manually shifting an A4

How much damage does it do to the tranny? Like goin up to like 4K then shifting each gear?

It wears out the clutches faster.

It only makes your car slower.Dont do it plus you cant manually shift an electronic tranny below the programed shift points and at wot I think stock shift points are around 5500.

It doesn't really matter how much it hurts the tranny, but the fact that it makes your car run slower begs the question: Why in the hell would you do it, anyhow? To be cool and pretend you have a manual?

I always hated when kids did that.

Upshifting manually should not harm your tranny. Manually downshifting is what causes excess wear.
