Angry Manual Fan Switch Help ASAP

Did the manual fan switch mod this evening on my 97 Z.. Works great fans come on exactly as they should.. used http://www.xious.com/camaro/install-fanswitch.html as instructions. Only problem when the car is running, if I kick the fans on after about 5 seconds the SES light comes on.. I soldered all my connections so I know they are good.. can anyone help?? TIA
Craig

Add the resistors in this diagram and it should stop the SES from coming on.

Yep, just like the diagram. The two resistors are in parallel. Those that have done it, have told me it worked well. Thanks to KCLarson for the diagram.
