manual fan switch help

manual fan switch help

im looking at shbox's site at the manual fan switch picture and im not sure not how i am supposed to hook it up exactly, i know im not going to be using the indicator lights, a picture of somebodys connected would probally help me hook up because i dont see where all the wires are supposed to connect too. thanks

If you look at the back of a DPDT switch, it will have 6 lugs like the diagram shows. Just put the wires like the diagram and you have it.

Looking at the diagram, do the wires coming off the left most lugs need to be wired together????

It looks like it from the picture, but I'd like to know for sure.....

Yep, so that each lug can provide a ground when the switch is thrown.

One more question for ya, TIA BTW, I have a two position on/off switch that has six lugs....... If I wire it like the schematic shows, will it just be fans off and high speed fans????

It depends on what that switch really is. You need a DPDT switch as shown in the diagram for low and high speed. It has three positions-center is off.
