they're quite loud when the car is turned off, I don't think that would happen. One question tho, would leaving them on the whole time you were driving cause the battery to go low?

[*] 1993 and early-1994 cars don't have dual speed fans making them much easier to put in a manual “on” switch. They have no #3 (J) fan relay. For these cars you can just ground D2 for the primary fan and F5 for the secondary one.

If you want more 93 specific info there is a link to the post in my sig.

Good luck!
wait, so you'd just have to connect both of those to a ground, and they would come on when you turned the key? or just run a wire to one side of a switch and ground the other?

I have my switch to power the relays. When I turn the switch on the relays energize and give the fans a ground.

cooooool. I just hooked up two wires to the points shown on the diagram and put them together, ran a wire to one side of a switch and hooked the other side to the ground under the driver kick panel. normal temp is around 200, I left the fan on and drove and stopped for about 20 mins, between 140-160. awesome!

I know, breating an old post to death. Heres what I got. I hooked a jumper from D5 to F2 then onto the + side of the battery. Just ran it straight for test pruposes. Nothing happened. I jumped from D2(Green wire) to F5( Blue wire) with the key off and the fans came on. What if I put a switch on this, just tap into those green and blue wires, provide power from somewhere always hot in the fuse box. When I run the car, I will just turn the switch off and hopefully it will run like normal.

Right, nothing is going to happen until you ground the blue or green wires. All you did was provide constant power to the relay coils and make them capable of coming on with the key off (as I suggested you do, in an earlier post).

I assume you jumped D2 and F5 to ground. That's the only way the fans are going to come on.
Yes, you can put a switch on the wire you connect to the blue and green wire. If you notice, that is exactly what the manual fan switch mod does. Do not put power to the blue or green wires or you might be buying a new pcm. You ground those wires, not put power to them.

I did put power to them a couple of times, but the car still started. I wont do it again though.
I misunderstood your earlier post. I remove the blue and green from the bottom of the relay? Will I have to turn them on every time I run the car, since the computer signal will be gone? THNX alot.

No, you don't alter the blue and green at all. You just tap onto them - just the same as the fan switch install instructions say.

Im thinking I do this and add the switch to the ground at D2 and F5. Ideas? I used some jumpers and it worked with the key off, and the key on they were normal.
