manual fan switch
I know what most are gonna say, try a search. Already done that and haven't understood most people's diagrams or posts.I'm doing a fan switch on my 96 formula. Before when I was looking at this I swear I saw that you have to have a diode and two resistors or something like that. What all do I need to buy from radioshack? Does anyone have some detailed pictures to show me where the wires run to from the block that I tap off of? I know I can do it, I just can't figure out most of it from everyone's diagram that just shows the block and wires coming off of it, not where they go. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Aron

i just did this mod a few weeks ago...very simple. one end of the wire goes to the fan relay (thats like tapping into the fan) and the other end attaches to the switch. i only installed an off/on switch and hooked mine to the high speed fans. i didn't install any leds so i didn't need any diodes. however, i didn't install a resistor and i haven't gotten a SES light for the fan yet either. i tapped into the (i think) blue wire on relay #2 (or either 3, i have 3 relays for the fan it was either 2 or 3) and ran that wire inside the car and hooked directly to the switch. i tapped into a line from the fuse box for my power. it was a wire connected to a 25 fuse, not sure what it is.
On the OB2 from Shoebox's website. On the left where it says splice, where is that? Is that the back of the switch? The way I'm seeing it, it goes to the switch on the right, and somewhere else on the left. I know I must seem really stupid here, but it's confusing the hell out of me.
Thanks,

Look for a blue and a green wire, the blue wire will have the raised letter H, and the green wire will have the raised letter J
and or read
http://users.oco.net/xero/fanmod/
again. it says where it needs to be connected.
Or go and buy the SLP plug and play kit.
