ok the engine that i am rebuilding was originally had a t-56 behind it. well now it will have a 4l60e behind it.

with the balancing of these motors do i need to have the motor balanced with the new flexplate or am i able to just bold a new one on and go? if so what is the flexplate i need as i would like to upgrade from the factory one or is it easier to just use my stock flexplate and swap it over?

 

Depends whether you are doing an internal or external balance.

 

Fred its a stock bottom end. I had it look at and was told to leave it alone cause it was still in great shape. Only thing being done is a cam and heads rebuilt with new springs seals and 1.6rr's

 

If you aren't touching the bottom end a stock A4 flexplate will work. LT1s are internally balanced in the front and externally balanced in the rear.
