Man i ran with open manifolds today details inside!
Well i'm preparing my car for the big day which is tomorrow when i put my lt's in. I took off the y-pipe and loosened all the driver side manifold bolts spayed all the passenger side ones really good and loosened a couple had to move my car out of the shop about 50 ft and man it was loud also had the o2's out and the egr stuff out and it had no torque at all i kinda stabbed the gas and i just laughed it was running like crap. Hope its not that way when i put my lt's in. Is this normal when running like that?
I agree with TMDZ28. No backpressure (LT1s need a decent amount of backpressure) and no O2s make for a sh!tty running car.
As for the LTs...you'll love it. Be sure to take it for a spin with open LTs. I got so many looks and set so many car alarms off when I drove down the street and I was damn near idle trying to keep the noise down lol. As long as you have the O2s plugged into the LTs, the car runs perfect.
