I am in the process of installing a Mallory 685 box into my car due to a nitrous install. One of the options is a start retard function. It retards the timing "x" degrees when the car is under 500 RPM's. I am curious how anybody with this box has it set. How many degrees should I set this option at? My car is a 95 Camaro Z28 LT1 M6.

 

I didn't mess with the start timing retard function, I left it at the default setting which is 0.1 I believe. I've heard of someone who had the value adjusted high enough where he couldn't get his car to start.
