heheheh...ok. Thunder racing shootout I ran 11.03, 11.09, 11.08, 11.08, 11.09, 11.37(spun in the finals because I was racing a car that was .2 faster than me so I went for a harder launch...it didn't work ) Sorry they aren't all 13.6xxx but I can't really make my car go that slow.

I think it all boilds down to personal preference. A m6 car can be just as consistant as an outo..just takes more practice. An m6 can launch with a auto..just takes a good rear end and some suspension mods. If you like to shift your car and are willing to watch and learn from guys that know what they are doing with them you can do well also. For easy concistancy..get an auto. Its prolly also cheaper to get the car faster with an auto because you will eventually have to get a rear end or repair your 10 bolt a couple of times. You will need more suspension mods sooner than you will in an auto. Your gonna get frustrated at the track when the autos are going 1.6s on drag radials and your fighting for 1.8s but your gonna trap faster by 2ish mph usually.

Fun factor on the street goes to the m6(except in a traffic jam). YOur gonna be faster from a role on race in a 6 speed. Usually if you know how to feather your clutch you can launch with auto on the street too since their stab and steer launching style goes away when they aren't on a preped track. This means if they have an after market converter their torque multiplication is gonna blow the tires away on the street.

So..basically its easier and usually cheaper to make an auto faster on the track. A faster auto car on the track will likely get beaten from a role ont he street by a "slower 6 speed".

All that being said. I will prolly convert to an auto 3 speed after I make my goals of 10 sec. NA 6 speed in a small cube motor. The faster you go the more difficult it is to go faster with a manual. I really love shifting but I really really want to go fast. Oh well.

Whatever you do. Go drive them both and see what you enjoy more. Good luck. Do you want to DRIVE your car or do you want the "driver delete mod"(auto )

All that being said..I went 12.94 at 108 with stock exhaust manafolds, borla exhaust and y-pipe(no cats), FIPK, 4.10s and tuning on 17"drag radials.
