When trying to get the dipstick out, it broke. There is about 1/4'' of the dipstick still in the block. Can someone please give me some ideas how to get this out. I have been tugging and pulling on it for 3 hours. It doesn't budge. Someone please help....I really don't want to take the oil pan off.

 

the actual dipstick? or the tube? If it's the dipstick it sounds like its' tied up w/ somthing

can u get a pait of vice grips on it

 

Yep, and I have tried for at least 4 hours to get just that little piece out....but nothing.

Am I going to need to take the oil pan off?
