Hello well here it goes. I was driving down the road and my car started acting funney when looked at the gauges they went crazy. car shut off and will not start it is something electrical. First thought it was a dead battery tryed to jump start and nothing car has power becouse took out the battery and it started my truck right up. took out all the fuses and replaced. also i cant hear the fuel pumps cycle. know here is what i figured out when you turn on the key to start the car all the lights on the dash come on and go out like normal except for the odomeder and the ses they do not come on at all. dont know what that means???? so i pluged in my code reader to see if there was any codes and something wierd happened the ses light came on the odometer came on and the fuel pumps whent through there cycle????? but car still would not start it would click light a dead battery but it was not dead and had jumper cables hooked up but every time i would unhook the code reader the odomerter and ses lights and fuel pumps would quit working????? Does anyone have any ideas???? please help car is still setting along the road and i cant get her home till monday. sorry for the long post

i cant beleave no one knows what is happining or even has an idea

 

well maybe this will help car sat all night started up and ran home but all the gauges were going crazy the whole time. does anyone know where to start looking for the problem?????

Sounds like you may have bad ground connection(s).... e.g. chassis to engine, chassis to PCM. Or you may have weak system voltage, or corroded connections at the battery or where the wires from the battery connect to the red terminal box and the chassis ground. What does your dash volt meter indicate when all this is happening?

 

The gauge just goes crazy like the rest of the gauges the only ones that dont go crazy is the fuel, oil press, and coolent temp the rest you cant tell what is righ and what isnt. i checked the conections at the battery, the red box and starter. i didnt know about chases and pcm grounds i will check them tonight. Anything else i should check???
