major bogging durring heavy acceleration
I have a 94 z28 bone stock and just recently had a problem, when its cold it runs fine, but as soon as it warms up and try giving it full throttle it holds back and jerks as if it was bogging down... Any ideas what this can be?

Whens the last time you changed your Fuel Filter?
Re: major bogging durring heavy acceleration
I don't know why a fuel filter would be temperature sensitive...that's not likely.
Try running a scan to see if you have some codes....some don't set the check engine light.
It's quite possible that this is caused by the coolant temperature sensor in the water pump. A scan will tell you water the PCM thinks the temp is....if it thinks the engine is cold it enriches the fuel mixture until it warms up. This enriched mixture will make the engine run poorly.....

Re: major bogging durring heavy acceleration
Nothing really cheap out there. You can do it with a laptop and a cable using scannet software called Datamaster. There another one but it seems to be unavailable. Datamaster allows 20 scans for free then requires that you purchase the package...
Re: major bogging durring heavy acceleration
Most of the auto parts stores seem to be limited to OBD-II scans. If you are going to own one of these cars, its essential that you have a scanning capability. The DataMaster software is very good for OBD-I applications. I review data logs for people all the time. There's a lot of info in a detailed scan log.
Just for the heck of it, check for a tear in the inlet elbow between the MAF sensor and the throttle body. Or possibly the bottom of the elbow is not fully on the throttle body.
