I just stumbled upon this just now and was wondering whether anybody knew anything about this. They're blueprints for what appears to be a roots type blower for LT1 applications.

There are three of them. 2 are for fuel injected applications, difference between the two being the inlet location and they have a 3rd version for LT1 carb applications aswell.

The carb application interestes me 'cause I'm currently building up a solid roller 396 LT1 and I'm converting to a carb.

If it's true that Magnuson plans on releasing the blowers, I might be changeing my plans on keeping my motor normally asperated.

Anybody know anything about this? - ie. Release date?

I believe they were working with Mease Performance Engineering out of Southern NJ he has sold several roots blower kits for b-bodies. He could sell A LOT more if he could get the cost down by casting the intake rather than the current hand built offering. Believe he had it up to over 500rwtq on a stock bottom in his wife's Impala without an intercooler as that would have required a cowl the uncooler kit fit under a stock hood.

 

Those look like really good designs and I hope that they go through with it. It would look good on top of my LT1!!! I had heard a while back that Magna Charger might be making on but have yet to see it. I wish someone would step up and make some more bad a** power adders and performance stuff for the LT1 though. Have you talked to Magnuson about the blower?

The description says that there's an EFI setup that utilizes GM TP sensors and IAC motor. Might be doable on an LT1.

 

I don't see any way those would fit under the cowl.

 

It would be pretty cool to see those on the market.

 

Is there 10.9" from the top of the block to the cowl?

 

They might be making them for the LT1 but I doubt it will fit in an Fbody.

 

it replaces the entire intake manifold. if they had it have a side inlet like a mustang it is very possilbe to get them to fit. there not that tall of a blower. god i hope they make this love the sound of a roots blower.

 

If you notch the windshield and put a Pro Stock scoop on the car.............
