I completely disagree. My car doesn't have a glass-pack sound to it at all. It just sounds plain mean.

yeah, nothing like glass packs, i dunno what you are smoking but uhh can u pass that over here, although I still want to take the cat off and see if makes it crisper, pretty much any cat-back with stock manifolds and cat sound raspy

Well, my heads are not flowing any better than before. Same goes with supercharging on stock heads?

Im saying that you will get minimal gains from a cat back unless you get a whole new exhuast system. If you dont get the headers (which is controlling mostly all the flow exiting from the engine), then having only half an exhuast sytem is not as benficial as a whole one. And no, im sure it wont make 10HP, Many people on this board even say that their borla only got them an Extra 1HP.

after cat-back and intake i went from pulling average of 4.0 seconds 50-70 to doing average of 3.5s 50-70, so id say they did something, true without full exhaust you arnt going to get all the gains from the cat-back but you are losing a lot of resistance from replacing the stock muffler

http://ws6.com/mod-5.htm

might as well read the bottom dyno on that page if you think people only get 1 hp from the borla

Borla is far from the free'est flow exhaust on the market. Just because it has an option to have one side open, doesn't mean it flows the best. Lets just take a look at a Corvette ZO6. Their factory titanium exhaust flows better than almost all aftermarket exhausts. Don't believe me, go to www.corvetteforum.com and ask. And the ZO6 exhaust can add more than 10 ponies on a regular LS1 vette. Same thing goes for LT1 or LS1 camaro. Also, not all cars are the same. One car may gain a couple horse power on a certain exhaust, and another might gain quiet a few. It all depends on the car.

That clip sounds just like my Flowmaster, but mine is a tad bit deeper. To many people are running without cat(s), Flowmasters sound just fine when the entire exhaust is still there.
