Magnaflow Cat-Back

I have been revising my parts list and decided to go with a little cheaper catback, gotta have enough for my FLP's

Im thinking about going with the Magnaflow Cat-Back from Thunder Racing. Seems like a really nice setup, all stainless for a decent price. What I what to know is who here uses the Magnaflow Cat-Back, do you like it, dislike it, how's the sound, etc. Im pretty much looking for some peoples opinions and reviews on this Cat-Back. If anyone has some video clips or their car with the Magnaflow or a link to where I can find some, that would be great. I would like to hear what this system actually sounds like.

Sounds nice, but I'm sick of the Magnaflow sound - too "muffled" for me. I ordered a Hooker cat-back. Anyways, if you search www.ebay.com for "magnaflow camaro" you'll come up with quite a few results. You should be able to pick it up for around $285 shipped. Good luck.

Well I havn't really decided on the Magnaflow yet, Im still kinda shopping around so to speak. Doing some research on different cat-backs. I would like a nice sound, like the GMMG, but thats a bit outta my price range right now. I also like how the Magnaflow is stainless. How much louder than stock is the Magnaflow?

From the outside it's pretty mean sounding. Not necessarily loud.....but from the interior, it's almost as quiet as stock, especially when cruising.

From what I've read Magnaflow is louder than Hooker. It's a better deal since it's all stainless though. I had a Hooker system that I ended up getting rid of because it wasn't the sound I wanted. I've never heard Mangaflow in person.

The magnaflow is not loud at all.....everyone I've asked said that the Hooker is louder. The magnaflow has a "turbo muffler" sound to it.....too mellow for me. The hooker sounds alot meaner.

The hooker didn't sound to mean to me. A little louder than stock until you get on it. JMO.

Yes, but the magnaflow has a mellow sound.....doesn't sound very mean. The hooker is a little more high pitched and has a nice growl to it when you get on it.

I've never heard the Magnaflow so I'll take your word for that. Yes, the Hooker does have a little growl.

I have a Magnaflow and mine sounds mean. I wonder if the long tubes, no cats and cam have anything to do with it?

Thats another thing I was wondering about, when I do my mods the FLP LT's, ORP will be installed also, no cat. Deleting Eco-**** crap too. What will these do to the sound, I know the headers and ORP will make it a bit louder, but will deleting the emissions stuff also or no?

Trust me, it will be loud.

Here's a few clips of mine:

Idle
Rev

I wouldn't change a thing about how it sounds.

Get a Spintech muffler and bring it to a local exhaust shop and have a bigger pipe put on from the cat-back then just throw on some tips! With the FLP's the spintech would sound amazing. Goto www.exhaustsoundclips.com to hear some exhaust sounds.

I like the sound madwolf, would mine sound like that since I have a stock cam or is your cam pretty mild?

My brother has the Magnaflow on his Z. Sounds great, pretty aggressive. Any more would probably be annoying. Also, Hooker is mild steel, which is crap.
