MAF wiring question
MAF wiring question
Ok, my car has a miss in the high rpm range and I got a code that says MAF/ Vac.so I replaced the MAF and still have the miss, but i think it may be in the wiring but I dont see anything when I fallow it back(the wire). So can you just switch out that part of the wiring harness from the sensor to where it hooks to the PCm?
Also took the car to Jason at EFA and we hooked the comp. up to it and took it for a ride and everytime it missed(power dropped alot) the MAF reading dropped down to 0. Could anything else be causeing this to happen besides the MAF?

Re: MAF wiring question
I have seen the the pink wire to MAF on many mid 90 model year LT1s breaking. Get a voltmeter and check your voltage at the connector with the key on. Black wire is ground, check voltage with one lead on black and other on pink, and then check with one lead on black and the other on the yellow. Look for about 12v on one and I think about 5v on the other. Can't remember which is which but you will know when you test them.
