MAF is good, but car only runs when MAF is unplugged
My parents have a 94 Trans Am. Starter went bad on it and left me stranded when I was driving it. After numerous push start attemps, I could never get it started. We pushed it home and I replaced the starter the next day.
Well, the car would run like crap and cut off when first started. I then unplugged the MAF and it ran fine. I then bought a MAF off the board and plugged it in. Still acts the same. I then swapped the PC with a buddies car and still only runs when unplugged. What other sensor that is linked to the MAF sensor could be bad that makes the car only run in "limp mode"?

Did you verify that the MAF sensor is getting +12V power to the pink wire on the connector? Seems to be a frequent problem where the wire gets damaged somewhere, and either breaks or shorts out.
Have you had it scanned for codes?
